Title: Going to Knotts - Need a 2000 or C-4?
Post by: Wittsend on March 21, 2009, 10:37:46 PM
I opted out of putting this in the classifieds because it is connected with those venturing to Knott's.

I have a 2000 from my '73 along with the C-4 transmission and I'm look to find a buyer for them.

I pulled the 2000 for my Turbo, 2.3 swap.  The engine has 86,000 miles on it.  It is complete, flexplate to fan / oil pan to air cleaner and that includes the alternator. It runs, but smokes. I'm assuming (but can't confirm) mostly from the exhaust seals. Compression is in the 110-130 range.

The C-4 shifted fine while I used it. Unfortunately the bellhousing was previously cracked and came out in a few pieces.  However, the converter is included.

I'm located about 45 miles outside of L.A. in Thousand Oaks which is about 4 miles off the 101 freeway (great if your coming from the north). I can't deliver it to Knott's, but you might be able to pick it up on your way home.

If anyone has SERIOUS interest please contact me by email.  I'll take $100 for the engine and $25 for the trans.
Thanks, Tom
