Title: Frost Plug location
Post by: sward on March 21, 2009, 03:59:58 PM
Hello, I am looking to get some fast help on locating the larger frost plug on my 80 pinto,  I know there is three on the exsaust side but where is the 4th. Please tell me its not on the back side of the block where I can not get to it. If so is there a way to change it with out removal?  Thanks

Maybe just maybe do you think I might be able to change that with the motor still in the car?

Try taking the hood off to get some clearance, it's only 4 bolts. Mark the hinge locations with a pencil, and lay a towel/blanket over the cowl, and get an assistant. If that doesn't work, you can pull the head with the motor in the car.
