I need some helpful advise on tackling the job of tubbing out my 1980 Pinto. I could use suggestions, ideas, comments, and info. on where to get the right parts I need. I really want it done right. :read: I tried this once before on another Pinto I have, but, being the first one, I encountered some problems and it didn't turn out right.
After several years and much more experience, I'm ready to try again.
I have some very large wheels I want to put on the back of my Pinto, so I need to tub it out. I have most all of the parts. I want to take my Pinto to Car Shows, and maybe drive it on the street once in a while.
Also, I'm thinking about lowering the front end.
just a thought dont know your intended use, my car has a ladder bar suspension with coil over shocks.
with the leaf springs gone i can up mickey thompson 26x12.50 15 inch tire and stay inside the body.
yes ladder bars and coil over shocks are the way to go on a pinto

Why do you need to tub it?

Good question indeed. What is your intended purpose for the car? I don't want to be a nay sayer here, but if you need to ask for suggestions and where to get the parts, maybe you should just get someone else to do it. :accident:
