Anyone have a exploded view of the panels with all the parts needed to install on a wagon?
There are a few pieces needed to make a complete kit. In addition to the side panels, there are two rain gutter extensions for both sides, there are four trim covers for the screw holes. Two for the back near the hatch and two for the sides, near the doors. The rear ones are typically body color. The side ones are typically grey. On the inside there are carpeted trim pieces for both sides. There is also a plastic ring that trims out the carpet over the port hole. To mount the side panels, there are some special brackets that are spot welded to the window frames in order for the carpet panel clips to hold. I will take some pics of some of these pieces from my factory car if you like.

Yes. please do.
I`m getting a set of panels with the windows..
I think I can make most of everything else needed but I just need to see how everything goes together.
Thanks
Here are some pics for you. I did not remove the interior panels for fear of damaging them but maybe someone else has theirs apart that they can take pics for you. Let me know if you have any questions.
Some Pics of the interior panels....
Thanks for the pics.... They helped me understand how it goes together.
I have a few more questions.
I assume the screws holding the panels on are under the trim.
Is the trim snapped into place?
Also, How many screws are holding the interior panel on?
Thanks again for the pics.
There are only 7 or 8 screws under the trim pieces. There are a lot more screws along the panel that are installed from the inside along with some adhesive to keep everything sealed. It is a chore to removed the panels from a factory car. The trim pieces are glued into place so they can be easily lost if they are loose. On a factory car, there are no screws that hold the interior carpet panels on. They clip into place using some special clips that are installed on the back as well as using the special brackets are are spot welded to the window frame. I have seen people screw the interior panels on cars that were being converted. It seemed to work ok as long as the backing was in good shape.
Thanks for the info..
I think I know how everything goes.

I may have an answer to this!!
If you are talking about the chrome that goes around the porthole but in the middle of the rubber, my son is looking into a price for it! He can get it. I will be letting you all know once he gets back to me. He is also checking to see if he can get new rubber for around the portholes.
Just a side note. He suggest that we use black insted of chrome. He says that chrome stuff he can get, will fade to a gold color when left in the sun for long periods! I am going to switch all my chrome trim (in the window rubbers) to black when I get ready to do my cruison wagon project!
I have a seperate question on the trim pieces on the outside. How are those snapped on? Are they held on like the side molding, with clips? I will be needing to do something with mine eventually. I don't have those pieces so I may have to be creative and make something!!
Hey wedge446:
Attached are four pics showing the inside of the panels
with the carpet panel removed. The outside panels are
attached with 8 screws along the top and 7 screws along
the bottom.
Hope this helps.

What are the dimensions of the bottom of the brackets that the interior panels clip to?

The moldings are attached via adhesive. I used silcone to reattach the rear trim pieces on my car as they were loose when I bought it. It has been 3 years since I put them back on and they are holding just fine.
Hey dholvrsn:
The long bracket shown in Figs. 3&4 and below is 16" at the base,
13 3/8" at the top, and 2" in height. The two short brackets
shown in Figs. 1&2 and below are 8 1/2" at the base, 5 3/4" at the
top, and 2" in height.
Let me know if you need additional information.
Thanks,

Thanks!
BTW, how much of a dogleg bend is in those?
Hey dholvrsn:
Attached is a side view. The distance between the top and bottom
is 3/8".
