Title: brake hose problem with dropped spindles
Post by: turbo74pinto on March 19, 2009, 08:49:39 AM
anyone running mii dropped spindles?  my brake hose hits the upper ball joint nut.  the metal part of the hose, right out of the caliper, is what is hitting.  i dont want to bend it, im afraid it would leak.  dont need any brake leaks thats for sure.  does anyone know of another line that would fit?  maybe an all rubber line that i could make a braket for so it wouldnt rub on anything.  could it be converted to a banjo style hose like the gms??  any info would help.  ill snap some shots tonight so you can see what im talking about.

Are you running stock brakes?  I don't recall having that problem with dropped spindles & 11" brakes.

But then again, I was installing on early Fords (mostly) with Mustang II suspensions.  I'd go to your local hydraulic shop and have custom hoses made up to fit.

YMMV
