hi felllow pinto lovers does anyone know the size of the tailshaft of a c-3 auto summit has plugs to fit in 1.5 or 1.7 sizes. i wish to use one when usesing my  car dolly to tow to knotts and removing the drive shift and not make a mess with auto trans fuild leaking.any body got one handy to measure? 77 2.3 auto c.3  thanks chris

I assume what you need is the diameter of the driveshaft yoke that goes in to the rear of the transmission.  If so, the C3 driveshaft yoke from a 79 Pinto C3 measured 1.37" OD.  This is the same OD as a Mustang II 4 speed manual.  I am not sure if a 1.5" OD plug will fit.

The fox Mustang and Turbocoupe used yokes with an OD of 1.49" for the AOD auto and the T-5 manual transmissions.
