The Quest for Knott
In the darker days on the eve of Spring
There's a stirring in the stables, a restless, tangible thing
For all the Masters of the shield of blue..
Have endured the time, temperature and a longing that all knew
Out in the stables, barns and corrals too...
Is a notion that "We'll get there" as they shed winter's rue
The names of the villagers are many you've seen and yet to greet
For the need to gather and revel amongst the equine breed is sweet
So out come the tools, lights, and special solvent
To prepare for " The Quickening " , a manic but purposeful bent
So beware the sound of thundering hooves in the Month of April
Lest the "Quest For Knott" sweep you up in the land of Mirth and Fable
Pintosopher ,
Sage of the new Crusade for sanity in a world gone PC
Thats a good one ! Thanks for the poetry...........
