So how was the fit?

the fit was fine once i figured out where to trim the origonal metal and then the replacement part. the passenger side needed trimming of the new pan only on the tunnel side seat mount and a notch on the outside seat mount was made before i realized i could of just takin a hammer and knocked down the 2 inch long edge of frame that stuck up about a 1/4 inch too high. the drivers side needed fabbed on the tunnel side mount as can be seen from the pics and on the outside mount where the seat mount hump extended into the middle of the floor i cut that out leaving the flat mounting surface. that let me use the new pan in that area without cutting it. all in all id definitely go this route again. im pleased with the results.

Steve,
Hey, my welding looks like crap too. That is the problem with a MIG welder on thin metal.

I'm glad to see someone being willing to improvise. I like your "find a way" attitude.

My passenger front was shot.  In my situation I used the case covers from computers. I put some dimples in the metal for strength and vibration issues with two different sized sockets.

Good work, thanks for sharing, Tom
