Title: Scott's Garage
Post by: dave1987 on February 26, 2009, 06:35:06 PM
WOW. I was going over the pictures of his garage not to long ago, and I would do anything to have a garage like that for my Pinto! At first I thought it was his living room, and I was wondering why he had two Pintos in his living room, then going through the pictures I noticed the tool boxes and the shelving, etc.

Scott, your garage truly is a mechanics lounge! 8)

This type of garage is part of my goal in life. To own a home with a garage, and make it comfortable enough to rest in during extended repairs.

Scott's garage is my idea of Nirvana with Race cars added. I use his one Gallery image with the cars and PCCA Logo as a Desktop wallpaper. I could really tolerate this economy if I could escape into that space on a daily basis.
Then I would have a serious Media infrastructure with a Wide screen Racing simulator, so I could lap Watkins Glen etc, from my seat with a 6 point harness.
A Cosworth Motor with a glass top for a Coffee table. And then..

Oh no! Don't wake me up please don't wake me now!

Wow guys, thanks! I did not see this until now...
This almost did not happen (the garage).. I actually moved to a new house because I could not build a garage on the previous property i had and then when we were building the new I realized during that the monies were running out and the garage had to be cut out-- had to have the house for the family! It was not until 2 years after I was in the house I borrowed cash from my 401k and built the garage... We are close to paying that off now! Whee!!!

The real trouble is finding time to play in it... it looks almost identical to the shots in the gallery- too much playing around with the site... I need to work on my cars and have fun in there again...

OH one day...  Sounds familiar doesn't it?

Well, Scott..
If you have all the Broadband in the garage, and a web cam you could give us a Virtual realtime experience! Then we could "evaluate" your Time management skills, and offer "productivity oriented" solutions.
Of course, we would excuse you for Beer and Mother Nature. But Gran turismo 3 falls in the category of vicarious living :cheesy_p:

Needless to say: "if it's not in the land of Scott, bring it to the "Quest For Knott"

One for all , and all for Knott!

I don't know if Scott would like us all watching his every move as much as the rest of us would! lol He could always just shut the cam off..... :P

It would be a pretty neat feature though!

If I did that you guys would see the cars 24/7 and no movement...

Naw- no fun, I need to kick my own arse and get motivated again...

You guys are nuts  :D

OK Scott,
I think it's time for you to look at the possibilities, from a economic standpoint. If we could get you to do a weekly webcast show from your garage, with a Pinto specific set of topics, and an occasional Mustang 2 guest appearance in subject content, and Sponsored by a few Pinto oriented parts sources or engine builders (Esslinger or even the UK "Burton") why not go for it?
It might be the next "American Chopper" of cars media! You could stay at home all day and make big money, and keep us all salivating for more stuff. Special guests of all Pinto segments ,( Brad, Pintony,Cookieboy, Galpin Ford,etc..)it could cover that entire interest spectrum.
Example: Today , our show is coming to you live from Carlisle PA , Or Knott's in Buena Park.
Those would be your showcase events, and many more could be added. Travel, people, neat cars at great locations.
Heck it sure could beat "Goss's Garage" on Motorweek PBS

Oh where's that coffee pot?, need more caffeine. Cat 5 brainstorm coming...
