Title: Drilling Rotors/Axles for 5 bolt
Post by: 72Wagon on February 14, 2009, 09:57:35 AM
I have read about people swapping axles and rotors/calipers to convert to 5 lug wheels. I have not read anything about Drilling 4 lug rotors/axles for 5 lug pattern, can this be done by a machine shop. I have a 72 wagon with a mII 8 inch rear axle. I am happy with the braking just want 5 lug aftermarket 14 inch wheels.

Go to the general Pinto talk forum, 2nd page and check out my post about 4 to 5 lug. The guys really came thru for me and will help you, too!

A machine shop with an indexing table or dividing head can do this. Although, it's probably cheeper to buy the rotors and stuff from place like Speedway Motors.
