Title: Gas tank size
Post by: 78squirewagon on February 05, 2009, 10:39:45 AM
Ok, I am sure that this is a silly question but what is the gas tank size on a 1978 wagon?
I am getting ready to do an indoor show and they are saying I need less that 5 gallons. if that is just below 1/2 tank, then I will not have to pump any out

THANK FOR THE HELP!!!!

Try going below a 1/3 of a tank for good measure.

So between 1/2 and 1/4.  I guess a good rule would be right at 1/4 or a little less.

THANKS

On my wagon 1/2 tank is way less than the 7 gallons it theoretically would be, like maybe 5 gal. I mean, the thing goes 40-50 miles from past full to the full line! Of course the guy at the door probably won't believe that, but maybe just tell them that your tank is 11 or 12 gallons :-\

I might have to take them proof that's it's only a 14 gallon tank  ;D. I will pump out two gallons today and see what happens. Right now it's just below 1/2 tank.  Either way I would have to be below 1/4 for the other show in two weeks.

More on that later  ;D
