Title: homemade jamb
Post by: dholvrsn on February 01, 2009, 07:42:53 PM
Here is sort of a before and after of a aluminum piece that I machined for my Pinto. It holds the jamb switch for the tailgate.

Well, since the original plastic pieces all dry rotted or burned up in accidents....

Wow, you've been busy!

You SHOULD make it from billet aluminum. Shiny is good!  :police:

POST WAS EDITED. I wasn't thinking when I asked if it was billet aluminum originally. o.O

Just a clunk of junk aluminum from the scrap metal dumpster at work.

Holy Cow!!!!! You're talented.  I'd have to find someone to manufacture me something like that, would probably have to pay through the nose .  Great that you have that kind of knowledge and ability.  Good luck on your car.
