Without buying a whole gasket kit i want to replace the crank seal on my 73 2000cc. It was leaking when i bought it, but now it is REALLY leaking . i plan to freshen the engine later, but for right now I just want to seal it up a bit. It's the only thing that is giving me trouble right now. I know someone here has a gasket kit laying out or has their engine down enough that they can get me ANY number/brand off the front. I want to have it in hand in advance before i tear down the front of the engine again. I'll get just the seal from a nearby bearing company. Thanx for ANY help. crosyy

I was looking at it again tonight and there is oil everywhere. I'm usually pretty good at finding leaks, but i'm wondering... Are the 2.0's noted for the rear cam seal to leak? there is a lot of oil up too high for it just to be a front crank seal. thanx for the help, crossy
come to find out i needed TWO of that number seal. the crank and the Distributor drive use the same seal. It no longer leaks oil, yeh!!!!! crossy
Cool! As Fred Morgan will attest, my '73 2.0 leaks too! It's a mess! ;D
