I bought a "project car" where the parts are all supposed to be there, I just have to put them together. The engine I am sure is from a 74, the manifold has the casting number D42E. The trany and bellhousing don't seem to have any numbers. When I try to match them up, the bolt holes and dowels on the engine all line up, but the engine has these brackets bolted to the bottom and they don't line up at all. Can those just be unbolted and the right ones fabricated or found? Seems Pinto parts are getting hard to find.
Here are a couple photo's.

Can't get your pics to load, can you post them here? I'm sure someone can help.
The bell housing looks like a 2.0L. The arrow in your picture points to the correct "Sandwitch Plate" or "Dust Cover" to go with that bell. The other one you have looks like it may be from something else. Good like with your project. :drunk: 71HANTO
