I went out to a salvage yard in Caldwell today and found me some goodies! :D
I found some rain gutter chrome off a '73 runabout in great shape. After the tax refund comes in I want to go out and pull the thin wheel well trim for my car too.
I also got one of the two Runabout emblems, the small dash Pinto emblem off a 76 Runabout, and two small Mustang emblems off a Mustang II.
The 76' Runabout is a V6, Automatic, A/C, Power steering, Power breaks car. It is sitting under the '73 so the roof and hood are destroyed, but there is still some good stuff on the car. I want to get the 8" rear out of the 76, but that yard charges an arm and a leg for almost everything, so I'm thinking not.
If anyone in Idaho is looking for some Pintos in yards, B&T Auto Salvage on old highway 30 has got two.
I could use the steering wheel off of that '76 if it is a two spoke type with round horn blow button, AND it is not all cracked and falling apart = don't care about color. Do you recall its condition? Thanks!
Chris
The 76' has deluxe interior. Side panels, seats, steering wheel, center console. It's all there. The steering wheel is the two spoke type with the horn "pad" that goes from one side to the other. Color is green (avacado green paint and lighter green interior). Seats are cloth type for the center panels.
Both cars are nearly identical aside from year and the 73 doesn't have A/C.
Does anyone know if the Deluxe interior has the four way seat rail? I forgot to check.

Dave, the 4-way seat is an option that is not tied to the deluxe interior option. From what I can tell it is a rare option as I have run across two so far.
Hmm, I see. If you happen to find one, would you let me know? I'm really wanting it for my Sedan.
Dave, sounds like a nice find there. Good to hear someone has luck finding Pinto parts in junk yards. Sadly, I have none & rely on others to do my searching for me lol
