Hello all, I'm from Ohio and new to the site and would like to share my interest in Pinto's with others alike.
My very first car was a 72 Pinto, a powder blue. I was 16 years old and I paid 100 dollars for it. I had to go to Erie PA to get it and tow it home. Once home my dad and i found that the only thing wrong was the ignition module was bad. Fixed that and i was off and running. I loved that car so much I painted it candy apple red. Key word is "I", imagine if you will the outcome of that paint job. I was still 16 and used an electric sprayer. I later bought a 74 stick shift from a lady i worked with at Sears for 50 dollars, and it ran. I was the coolest kid in high school. I had two cars.
I'm going to try to find pics of it for you all to view. I know i have some because i took many. Anyway, I'm 43 now and own a bunch of Fords, a diehard I guess. Two trucks 89 F250, 04 F350, 3 Mustangs a 65-289, 88-5.0 supercharged, 89-5.0 nitrous, and a 90 Expedition. Fanatic for real.
Now, as i have been for about 3 years, I'm looking to get a Pinto again. A 71 or 72 is what I'm looking for. I've been reading a lot of post and looking at many pics. You all have some really nice machines. I cant wait until I can once again find my first love. Thanks. Going back to reading your post now. :read:
:welcome: aboard!
I found my current Pinto ('72 sedan) just a few months after joining this site. I, too, got my first Pinto while still in high school. It was an orange '74 Runabout 2300 4 spd. with black interior and was brand new when I got it. Hang around here long enough and I'm sure something will pop up that interests you!

I know exactly how you feel. I bleed ford blue also. I have always been a ford nut and my first car was a 78 pinto it was jade green which was actually a light green that almost made you through up in your mouth when you seen it. But i put on a set of cragers with some 50s on the back and it was awesome. I am just across the river from you in WV. Good luck on your search for your ride.
WOHOO!! another guy from ohio! cleveland area here.
