Title: flywheel bolt circle specs
Post by: chazz79 on January 01, 2009, 05:55:21 AM
I bought an old pinto beans adaptor kit to put a 2.0 or 2.3 into a vw bus.  The kit is so old that they never stamped them with part numbers and esslinger engineering can't help me out with it.  I need to know what the crank hub bolt circle was for either the 2.0 or 2.3 so I know wich engine I need to start hunting for.  If any of you have a flywheel laying around please shoot me a figure!

I'm hoping it's a 2.3 because I have one in an old mustang 2 ready to go, I just don't want to bother pulling it if this flywheel is wrong.

Based on rough measurements, the 2.0L flywheel has a 2.49" diameter bolt circle while the 2.3L is 2.76".  Have fun with your project.
