Well : :lost: I'm still waiting for my new 1971 Pinto trunk model, I bought from Reed in Washington State. The weather in that area has caused a delay in it's shipping. Fortunately, it's in Illinois only 227 miles from it's new home in Indiana . I'm being told my "baby" will be arriving on January 2, 2009 :). I'm getting more excited now than I've been, and can't wait to get it. I pull up it's pix everyday, and have been checking the internet for parts and supplies I'll need for finishing it. A young man I work with, is also a Pinto nut, and he's excited too. He'll probably be over at the house waiting for the transport truck to arrive. As I progress in it's restoration, I hope to post pix and information. It'll be a great car for shows, and I'm sure a true conversation piece around these here parts. Everyone have a Happy New Year.... Larry :police:
Let us know when you get it by posting a couple of pictures. That must be the longest wait in the world! Have fun!!
Larry,
From the photos I've seen of Reed's Pinto, you latched onto a pretty decent car. I'm glad you could find what you wanted and help him out in the process.
Happy New Year!
Dwayne
grats on the purchase =)
:hypno: So THAT'S where the little beauty went! Congratulations on getting her (is she there yet!? Is she there yet!?) I've always wanted a vinyl-top early Pinto... Darn these archaic California car laws!!! :showback:
I was going to buy the car in Feb if i was able to get up there where it was and drive it home. but alas someone beat me too it. but atleast its a member who got it. =)
