Title: Paint for Pinto Emblem
Post by: dave1987 on December 28, 2008, 11:39:25 PM
What type of paint should I use to touch up a Pinto emblem with the red white and blue "P" insert? If anyone knows or has done this already, exactly what paints did you use?

I used some Testors model paint, it looks okay. You can tell what I did when you get up close. I tried a red Sharpie as well, it has faded some and it is in the garage.

My daughter painted these 3 yrs. ago with automotive touch up paint called dupli-color. I gave her another 23 to paint up.  Fred   :)

Duplicolor is great paint. It is what I have been using for the interior touch up on my 78 Sedan. Very durable too!

I will see what I can find here in town. If nothing, maybe I'll send them to you Fred ;)

Dave funny my daughter just mailed me saying she is low on paint and needed to get more auto fine line tape. She is the artist in the family thats why I send those to her. Contact her at Pintopia = Ashley, no way I could make straight lines on something that small.  Fred   :)
