Found this on the local (West Palm Beach) Craig's list. It is a 1967 Angila panel wagon powered with a 2.3L Pinto engine. I do not know this person, just thought it was a unique use of Pinto power.

Wow, thats cool. Now, if we can slap a turbo on it and then.................
I had a friend in High school (Circa 1975) who had a 1958 Anglia wagon. From what the pictures show it was very similar. His had the factory flat head and poured babbitt bearings. As I recall his ignition "key" was a looped A/C outlet and the starter had a pull wire for a solenoid.
I remember going to Irwindale Raceway in it. Lacking a working gas gauge we removed the sender to have a "look see" for enough gas to get home. Ahh..., the good old days. I guess my kids see my Pinto like I saw his Anglia.

irwindale was "THEE" place to go. my highly developed sense of smell concerning tire smoke was initiated there with many hours of extra credit work being performed at orange county
Ahhh....nothing in this world like burning rubber and the exhaust exploding out of a set of zoomies
No, that would have been " 64 NITRO BURNING Funnycars " ;D
