Title: manual and books...
Post by: kemerick on September 09, 2004, 12:31:28 PM
I need to find a good engine rebuild book for my 1970 2.0 Pinto motor and the Haynes manual for Pintos appears to be for models starting 1975.

Also... what other books are out there that I might need for my Pinto powered buggy?

btw - it has an IFS Volkswagon transaxle as I need books for that too :-)

The best manual I can recomend is the Chiltons 71-79 pinto/bobcat repair and tune up manual. There are a coupple on ebay right now for $2.50 to $5.00. Its well worth it. As far as the trans. you could look at ebay for that as well as ( thesamba.com ) web site. That web site has more VW stuff than you will EVER need.
