Finally got a new motor in my 78 after a year of looking and waiting, found motor from a 78 mustang II with 30k orginal miles, owner was upgrading to an v8, all that remains os hooking up the wiring and fuel lines. Tomorrow she should drive. Best price , free and yes it drives again
Nice find! How much did you end up paying for that low mileage engine?
progress update,
Found a working am radio and face plate in a 75 pinto, a complete sport steering wheel, battery tray with minimal rust from a 76 and the rest of the air intake system I was missing. Doing the interior work fixing the head liner, having seat covers made, installing new carpet, installing rally mirrors. That will leave the minimal body work and lots of paint, this will be my first complete car repaint. I am also looking for ideas on where to install a more up to date stereo while leaving the original one in the dash. The glove box is out due to the installation of a dealer air unit, any ideas or pictures of what others have done would be greatly appreciated. Thanks as always. hope to have her done by memorial day budget and time permitting. Will post pictures as soon as it warms up some outside.
if u want to keep the stock look go though cj pony parts inc
