Pintos made from 74 to 78 did not come with a valance, and due to a change in the radiator support in 74 the early ones will not fit the later cars without work, however the 77 and 78 did have an availible factory front spoiler. The 79 and 80 came with a factory valance, but it will not fit any of the earlier Pintos.

Those holes are on all the fenders from 71 to 78. Some years had use for them, others not. This has been brought up several times.

Hi Bill
Sorry for being a pain as i need to put something there as i have a big hole on each side of the fender and it creates drag in the fender well....what can i do ....modify a existing one, build one or what would i have to do to make the vfn fiberglass one fit......sorry as i have nothing to compare it to as the car came with none and i have no car to compare it to..............thanks
Hi all
Sorry for being a pain but nobody has answered my question, if i bought vfn fiberglass front valance what would i have to do to get it to fit on my car....if nobody has a answer i might have to phone vfn and see if they have a drawing....the drag that is being created on front opening with out one is probably losing me 3-5 mph in the 1/4....thanks if anybody has any ideas
i had to notch the valance to fit. it took a good chunk coming out to get it to fit.

Thanks for the reply....where did you have to notch it....will it be hard to do on a fiberglass one
Saw your ride in the racer section, super nice looking Pinto! You're right though, that front end needs to be filled in. The fiberglass valance is going to be easy to work with as far as cutting to fit. The fronts of the Pintos are the same from '71-'78 as far as the fenders ect. The '74 up had a different style of front clip but still basicly the same. It shouln't be much of a problem to make it fit. I had '74 up dirt track cars that I added the valance to, I don't remember it being a problem. It's a race car dude, fabricate man, fabricate!! BTW, how about some more pics? We wanna see more!
