i have a broken bolt in the pump and have lost the other two bolts for it. were do i look to replace the whole pump dipstick and hose that would addapt to it? it has a plate that is on it. is there a replacement plate or am i kinda out of luck with that pump? the 2.3l 77 wagon
What plate are you referring to? for the bolts your best bet is to take the pump off so you can extract the broken bolt. Then you can use the broken piece to identify the thread size to get replacements. The hard part will be getting the right length since you don't have any for it. Are you referring to the pressure & return hoses? If so you can get those from Advance Auto. Is the dipstick missing? If so is it a metal or plastic? There were two different models. One with metal reservoir & one with plastic. The dipsticks are not interchangeable.
yea the dipstick is missing I'm not sure about weather it was plastic or metal. the plate is on the pump right behind the drive pulley.
I'm not too sure on the plate... With the dipstick is it a small hole or is it a bigger hole? The one with plastic had the dipstick built into the cap, like the 80's & 90's Fords. Is yours an early 77 (built before 6/77) or a late 77 (after 6/77)
ill get back to you on the year i have to get down to the spot were i work on my car. bout 30min drive
Not a problem.. It's just a matter of a mid year change on the car. They changed pump styles mid year.

that is the same type as my 76 it was/is a metal dip stick about 5 in long.
