i got these deep dish cobra r rims 4 lug i think from the 80s. no tires on them. I'm not sure if they would fit onto a 77 wagon stock. i don't want to buy tires for the rims if i cant use them, is there a way i can get them on there?
I don't see why they wouldn't fit.. What is the backspacing on them? I'm guessing they are the right bolt pattern?
I'm new to cars alltogether i put them on and the bolt pattern fits but I'm not sure if i put tires if it is to wide to turn. not sure about the backspacing
there size 16
The way you can check the backspacing is with the wheels off the car, take a ruler or measuring take and place it to the hub of the back of the wheel. Now you measure to the edge of the wheel. That is the backspacing.
I believe the Pinto used either a 4.5" or 5" backspacing for the stock wheel.
on the front the bigest problem would be the rime rubbing the supenssion parts you can check the with out tires by putting the rim on and bolting it in place spin the rim and turn the stearing wheel you can always get a different size tire. i have seen 16" rims on a pinto as r4pinto said it is in the back spacing.
