Hi Frank fabricated lens using 2 pieces from lexan. Installed the curve using propane torch. Frosted lens using 320 paper. And hey the battery and the dirt bike are not for sale.  Fred   :)

I would buy them if they fit and wear well...beats not having one...and I need 9 of the little buggers.

Look like a good option to those that need one  as frank said  "beats not having one"
The next obvious  question   Cost?

I wouldn't think it would cost too much. Lexan is pretty cheap, as is a refillable torch. After parts and utilities, it is labor, which would be up to him, soo......

If not TOO expensive, I would take three.

Lets get some more requests in for these! Every time I find a Pinto or Bobcat they are always missing these, or they break in half during removal. :(

That doesn't look bad at all. It's not quite like the original being the color, but if I needed one for my light I would go for it.

I agree with Dave that they do break way too easily.  Definitely nice work Fred.  :D

I wasn't going to ask about the battery or the dirt bike, I am interested in the wire!!!!!!!!! Just kidding!!! LOL

I would be interested in 2, depending on cost and shipping cost, of course!!!! :)

Hi all:

I will be reproducing these lenses. With the time away from work (laid off) I have been making some inroads into getting some stuff done. First off the line will be repro dealer A/C dash bezels. I am about 60% into this project.

Next (or in parallel) will be the lamp lenses discussed here.

Then, I will do the seat leg protectors (these surround the seat mounts where the legs attach to the floors).

All parts will be made of durable urethane and will be as close to factory spec or better.

Stay tuned!

Chris

Oops, and I am also doing the dash gauge cluster (the white crumbling piece behind the speedometer). This will probably be last because it is the most difficult.

Wow Chris, sounds like you are in a productive mood there lol Glad to hear of the parts you are reproducing though, especially whenever you get the cluster back done, since that will help just about everyone that owns a Pinto. To be honest I never knew there was a piece that covered the seat legs on the car. Interesting to know.
