Title: Giages in radio slot?
Post by: Reed on November 14, 2008, 12:17:56 AM
I have seen some of you guys put three guages where the radio used to be.  How did you do this?  I have removed the old deck and installed an underdahs deck, and I would like to use the radio hole for some guages.

Does anyone have a template they could scan so I could copy it?  How did people mount and design the holder for the guages?

Detailed pictures would be great.  Thanks.

My 73 has gauges in the radio opening.  They will be moving to a pilar pod when I have the time.  They are just mounted in one of those standard three gauge brackets.  It is not the cleanest b ut it works.

I cut the back off the factory "radio delete" glove box and mounted a standard 3 gauge plate there. Changed my mind later. There is a gap around the gauges in mine.

Nice!  Unfortunately, I had a radio.  I think I will just screw a triple guage housing in to the screws for the radio bezel.
