Just wondering if anyone has anything but the C3 in their Pinto. My Bobcat has the 2.8L V6 and it has the C3. Anyone have a C4 in theirs?
Thanks
My 79 V6 parts car is an AT but I am not sure what it is. Do you know the data tag trans code number for the C3?
"V"
700R4 soon..
A built C4 with reverse pattern and trans brake in one car. A T5 from an 84 SVO in the other.
4 speed... :fastcar:
I don't have a transmission in my car. It is sitting next to the car & that would be a C3.
My 71 was born in San Jose with a C-4. About to install the "European 5 Speed" Type 9 out of an 87 Merkur. ;D

C4, hey isn't that an explosive? :hypno:
Stock C3 with the V8 valve body. has a nice Stiff beefy Shift.
My '72 has its original 4 speed, mated to its original 1600 cc engine.
Dwayne
Well, three have the four speed standard shift, and one has a C3. I do have a C4 out of a V8 MII and a 2.3 bellhousing that will most likely either go behind a 2.3T, or go on eBay, after, of course, it has been offered up on here first. :D
C-4
Still cruisin' on the factory 4-speed! :fastcar:
Stock 4 speed, original clutch, Stock 2300cc with 2 barrel

Is there an AOD that will mate to a 2.0 or is it a 2300 only tranny?
AOD does not fit the 2.0 or the 2.3. Sorry.

True, however, the A4LD will fit the 2.3, and it is an automatic transmission with an overdrive. It is basically a C3 with a French made O/D unit added to it. Not sure if it'll fit in the Pinto trans tunnel though as it is quite large physically. They can be found in many late 80s vehicles that could be had with a 2.3, like Rangers, T-birds and Mustangs.

Also realize everyone, that 75bobcatv6 is putting in a 3.8L S/C motor in his ride, so his WILL have an AOD as it is a different bell pattern.
