Title: Turbo computer wiring ?'s #2
Post by: Wittsend on November 08, 2008, 08:48:54 PM
I figured I should start numbering these since I'm sure there will be a few.

OK, got the fusible link fixed and constant 12V on pin #1.

Another odd thing.  I'm using the 1988 T/C factory harness.  The "intigrated" relay box is hooked up, - but not the computer.    When I apply power at the battery the relays click (not sure how many or which ones) and the fan starts running.  Is this some "fail safe" idea by Ford, or do I have issues?  Should hooking up the computer solve this?

As is no doubt obvious by now, I'm a bit leery to hook up the computer until I'm DARN sure everything is right.  I don't want to cook a prized LA-3!

hook the computer up, it controls the ircm.  the relays in it are high speed fan, low speed fan, eeciv, fuel pump and ac clutch.  i dont know what would happen without the eeciv hooked up, never tried.
