Title: I have a Ford Rear end....how to ID it ????

My new Toy (V8 Pinto Del Wagon)....has a rear end that has 3 Dimples....Smooth Round , 3rd member comes out of the the front.....?????? what type is this...any Help ?

MOST LIKELY IT IS A FORD 8".COULD POSSIBLY BE A 9" BUT PROBABLY NOT.

If you can only get a wrench and not a socket on the two bottom nuts that hold the carrier on, its a 9" rear end.

Yea....found that online...a socket will fit....must be 8in...I was told that it was out from under a Mustang ll....The guy that had the car, was a dealer and he was just going on what some one told him...Its my first ford to own...Well I had a 27T  , but it was Chevy powered !!!!
