Title: Ranger cam need help
Post by: rkk on November 01, 2008, 02:44:04 PM
Doing a cam swap for my engine and installing a ranger cam with the engine in the car.  Having some issues getting the 2 retaining bolts off the cam that is in there because there are clearance issues with the fire wall.  Cannot get enough leverage with a philips bit in a socket to move the screws.  Any suggestions or ideas
Thanks :read:

I had a impact driver that had some bigger bits so I used one of the bigger bits with a wrench on the end of it. I was able to remove those two screws without a problem.  What size bit are you using?

Thanks.  I was using a P2.  I tryed some impact bits and that gave me enough leverage to move it because of there size.  Although the screws were in there very tight.  Thanks again :)
