Title: Turbo Coupe - vacuum lines
Post by: Wittsend on October 24, 2008, 07:54:23 PM
Well..., I always mark stuff...,  But, the vacuum lines for the EGR on my '88 Turbo Coupe engine have me lost. Does anyone have a layout (or know of a site dispaying such).

On the '88 there is the toilet tank bowl looking thing with a single vacuum line.  It runs to a splitter and then...???  Associated with that is something else with similar tee-ed vacuum lines and two electric connector on a metal bracket.  These were all located on the passenger side, rear corner on the T/C.  Most of this is still hooked to itself, but the "where does it go from here" is what I need to know.

My assumption is some is EGR, some goes to the black multi port near the master cylinder and I assume one is for the original T/C dash boost gauge.

I know some will say just to dump the EGR and frankly I would, BUT with ever changing smog laws I want it "ready" should the day come when Calif. starts testing older cars again.

Thanks for any input, Tom

Thanks for the link.  It looks like the "Toilet tank float thingy"  is only used for the Turbo Coupes Heat - A/C system. So..., that goes! A closer look at the EGR I'm sure will have me sorting it out soon.
Thanks, Tom
