I have a cherry 1980 coupe, I also have a pangra front end what will I need to change to make this work? I know it is a little work buty I need to ask the experts any input would be great
My thoughts. I would not use the Pangra front end on a 1980 car. It would be very incorrect and you may have to modify some of the head light mechanism. However if you " must " use it on the 80 I believe that the fender lines would not suit the car. The 80 has some fairly straight lines on it and the Pangra fenders are more suited for the early body lines. My suggestion would be to find a 71-73 car and use the Pangra Kit on an early car.
Just my 2c
lol i didnt want to be the one to say it
or swap early fenders and hood ect to the '80.......

Well, the hood/fenders of the Pangra Kit are early. Mater of fact, in some of the real early Pangra kits the fenders have a little pop out that the early style bumper fits into. Its so tight that you need a shoe horn to get the bumper past it. the later kits eliminated this bump.

i remember that !! (at least ALL my memory isn't gone!)
WOW QUICK respones time!!
Let me explain I have a complete pangra front end from bumper to the cowl that covers the wipers so what will I need to change to make this fit the 80 body?
I know the rear bumper is too wide but will the lines match elsewhere? I really do not want to buy another car I just need to know if the body lines will match, they look as if they will but will I need to change inner fenders or the core support?
I know this will fit the early body as a bolt on so I guess what I am asking is what are the differences between the early and the later bodies?
once again thanks guys you fellas are great!
Dave
any input guys?
I just need to know the differences between early and late bodies are the lines the same and can I swap front clips?
Thanks again
Dave
I have a 74 Pangra. It has the big bumpers on the nose and as that does take away a bit of the cars beauty, it still fits. The 74 core support is the same as the 75-80's. The nose will bolt right on and the cars looks will be the same as the early ones, depending on the bumpers you plan on using. If you use the 79-80 bumpers, no one can help you in regards to trim and such. If you use the 74-78, the front pan will need to be modified as they did on my 74. As all pinto body shells are the same, the 80 will be fine to use as the fenders would line up fine. Good luck and keep us posted. If you have any questions, email me at pintopower@hotmail.com

As far as I know they are all the same from the doors back. Back in my dirt track racing days I used any year model doors, quarters, tops and trunks and they all fit, body lines were the same. Fenders were the same from '71-78, but I also used '79-80 front clips on earlier bodys.
I'm not sure what "straight" body lines turbopinto72 is talking about on the '80, maybe he can shed more light on it. I have an '80 and a '71 and a '75 sitting side by side by side and they all look the same from the doors back.
once again thanks
This will help dramatically
Dave
anyone have any pangra under the hood pictures? thanks
will the early rear bumper fit the 1980? thanks again
