I can't remember where I saw the pic, I think it was in the sales brochure for 77 or 78, there is a picture of an electric blue/white pinto sedan or runabout in the snow, if anyone has a large version of that pic can you please send it to me or post it here, it's my favorite color combination and I want to show my sister in law what it looks like.

I found the pic I was looking for, it is in the 77 sales brochure, I saw 2 for sale on e-bay, I'm looking for a 78 brochure, if anyone has one for sale, let me know, here's the pic I was interested in

The bumper guards are different from my car, does the 77 share the bumpers with earlier cars? or is just the trim different?

Let me check when I get back home tomorrow. I am pretty sure I have two of them. The picture that was on the post cards and in the 78 sales things looks just like my red wagon (minus the cheerleaders )when I have the plain steel wheels and hub caps on here. The 78 squire wagon sales (white) pictures looks like my other 78 so that's why I have extras ;D

I will let you know tomorrow and even if I do not have an extra, maybe I can scan the one I have and e-mail it to you.

The 77/78 cars share bumpers only for those two years (factory), all years prior to that were steel. The bumper guards on the 77 (in your photo) were used on earlier cars too (at least very similar ones), but the 78 has ones are independent to that year.

We have found that Ford doctored a few photos of 77's to make the bumper guards look like 78's in the 1978 brochure.

There is presently a 78 brochure on ebay. I do not know this seller.

The 78 bumper guards are all black, no metal. the 77 bumper guards in this picture are chrome with just a rubber facing. Thanks everyone! :afro:
