So I got my dash back together and went for a cruise to remind myself how much I love my car, and I tripped over this!

I was so excited I forgot to look at the vin to see what year, but its a 77 or 78 for sure!
I knocked, but nobody was home. I left him a kind note offering help with his car, inviting him to the club, and if he has given up on it, to let me know so I could make an offer! This car has a lot of surface rust on the roof and hood but no cancer on the lower side. It has rally wheels, one is missing a cap. The gauge trio is missing and so is the horn button. The grill is smashed and the air dam is hangin low. It has A/C and a four speed. Black interior and sport mirrors!
Very nice find! I would have done the exact same thing in your situation too!
Keep us updated. I more hope that he would accept your help than to sell it, just to add another member to the club and one more body to get the name out there. I also hope that if he says no to the club, that he at least would sell it to you reasonably cheap (in the condition it is in) and that you could restore it to the original majestic glory it deserves!
Nice find Reed, and like the "prepared Boy Scout", you had a camera handy - awesome. Hope you hear back from the guy regardless, that would be way cool.
