Hey ho,
Just a quick note to say we had a great time showing our '73 Pinto Squire (nicknamed "Country Squirt" by at least one spectator) at Hershey this past Saturday. We were in the "HPOF" (Historical Preservation of Original Features) class, hoping to get that certification (HPOF candidates must be at least 35 years old, so first year of eligibility for our '73). Had a great time and met many nice folks. Only other Pinto I saw at the entire meet in three solid days was a gorgeous red '73 Runabout that was in the flea market, reportedly sold and on its way to Holland, I think the fellow selling it said.
Anyway, may be able to post a picture or two later once I get a little more organized.
Happy Pinto-ing,

Let's see if this works for a photo from the day:

First of two pictures of the '73 Runabout from the 2008 Hershey Flea Market...possibly in Holland by now...or at least soon to be, we understand...

Both of those Pinto's were like brand new and it was a pleasure seeing them. The Runabout had a $7,500 price tag and was marked sold. Those were the only two Pinto's I saw there and none at Carlisle.
None at Carlisle? What show did you attend this year at Carlisle that there were no Pintos at? Just curious since I was at the Ford show & there were quite a few.
I was at Fall Carlisle the week before Hershey and there were thousands of cars there and I probably did not see them all but I did not see any Pinto's. I have never been to Fords at Carlisle and it must be awsome!
That it is. I took my car there in '06 and tried to this year but she just didn't want to cooperate with me. Haven't been to the fall show yet, but I hear it's good.
I've been to Fall Carlisle a number of times and, like Gordie, didn't see any Pintos. The Ford event in June of this year was a first for me and, as Matt pointed out, there was a good showing of Pintos - I even got a short ride in Connie Rainey's pretty orange and white one. As for any idea of having the most of a particular model, I'm not sure there are enough Pintos in existance to outnumber the Mustangs! It would surely be something to see, though! My plan is to have mine ready to be there for this monumental event if humanly possible!
