It's snowing here in Boise Idaho!!!!!
My rear window is terribly fogged and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their Pinto.
I can't remember how I got by with it last winter, but I know I did. Cracking the windows about 1/2 inch? Leaving the vents open? Any tips?
In my experience this is caused by a water leak somewhere. Short term, leave your vents open and the window down a crack. Long term, find that leak.
And try Rain-X, I had a problem with my defroster last winter, and my windshield fogged on the inside, used Rain-X inside and out and that helped some, Cheap TEMPORARY fix.
Definitely a leak some where
agreed, find the leak and fix it so you don't end up with a rust problem
I know I have leaks. I need to replace the floorpan on the driver's side, but before that I need to replace my windshield gasket.
Then there's the trunk seal, and the rear window seal, and the door seals too.
There's a lot that needs done for seals, but no money to do it. :(
There's alot of that going around these days.... :embarassed:
agreed. I need new door seals, channels and "lips" too, and a trunk seal. Just seem to be last on the list since it doesn't rain much here in New Mexico.

Thank you PintoDriver! I will definitely be looking into purchasing a roll of this to properly replace my trunk seal!
Today I removed the chrome from around the rear window, then took some clear RTV silicon sealant for windshields and pumped it in between the window and where the outside of the seal mate. It looks like it should seal the rear window pretty well, but we shall see how well it does when it gets time to fog up again!
