#1 trim- BC
#2 color - 5WDW
#3 DSO- 23
and what does dso stand for?!?!?
thanks eric
Hey bbobcat75:
This is what I found in my Master Parts Catalog:
Color - A code (two digits) represents the exterior body paint color - solid color. Four codes
if two-toned, or vinyl roof installed. For your case "5WDW" is 5W-Orange, D-Type of Roof, W-White
Trim - Two code combination represents the seat type and color of interior trim scheme.
For your case "BC" is medium orange vinyl and medium orange cloth.
DSO - The code shown above or below "DSO" identifies the district which ordered the unit.
For your case "23" is the Memphis district for Ford or "23" is the Jacksonville district for Lincoln-Mercury.
Hope this helps,

hey that is great but the seats are two tone vinyl black and orange!!no cloth?!?!?! i have seen the cloth seats, kinda ugly!! in orange at least!! and i have bucket seats that are orginal so ill have to keep trying on this one everything else checks out great, the car is what it is, and not a pinto, its a bobcat and all there, that makes me so happy!!!
Hey bbobcat75:
The information I listed was for Pintos (Ford). I was assuming (hoping) that it would
be the same for Bobcats (Mercury). Obviously, some of it was OK but as you pointed
out the "BC" code didn't match up. I think you need to get a Mercury catalog to get
the proper information.
Good luck!

It is the 1973-79 Lincoln Mercury Master Parts Catalog CD. It will have all the proper codes you are
looking for. I used 1973-79 Ford Master Parts Catalog CD to get most of the codes you listed. This
one will have the right codes for your Bobcat.
Thanks,
