I drove up today and picked up my "new" evilBay Pinto Wagon, 2.3, 4 speed, rear defogger, remote mirrors, AM radio (works) runs out good, needs new "wood" and inner Tie Rod Ends EV117, prior owner got it out west, rust free no holes, great glass, quite muffler, new tires, gas gauge not working? Any Idea's?? I put the wheels on, as soon as I got it home, shows 88,000 miles pretty cool....John

Whoa, that's a nice looking original Pinto!
nice!!!!
Awesome score! I gotta find me a squire or a villager wagon.
I personally dont care for the Squire Wagons   I HAVE THREE OF THEM!!!!
I wanted to bid on that one but my wife yelled NO so loud it shook the house ;D
Anyway, JC Whitney is the way to go to replace the "wood". As far as the trim, good luck. I had to get mine from Earthquake. It was a nice birhtday present from my wife ;D
Now you have to buy the perfect t-shirt http://shop.cafepress.com/design/23270194
NICE CAR!!!

WOW!!!...this is going to be a real head turner!!! Congrats! :drunk:
Nice, nice, nice!! 8) Next to the '71 the '77-'78 body style is my favorite.
As far as the fuel gauge, take an ohm meter and see if you get an ohms reading at the sender. Somewhere between 10-160 ohms. Make sure your meter has a good ground, even if you have to run a jumper from the battery. If you don't get a reading, most likely the sender has been corroded with stale fuel. Take it out and lightly clean the grid and the wiper arm with a scotch brite pad and test it again with the meter (while it is out). Move the arm up and down and you should get a smooth reading from 10 to 160.
