Yeah I have to disconnect my positive battery cable to keep from running my battery down. For some reason my tail lights, rear quarter panel lights, and tach light stay on when my car is off...this is really freakin annoying! Anyone have this issue before?!?
My first thought would be that you have a faulty headlight switch since that is the only place those three circuits come together. However, have you checked the brake light switch? What circuit did you tap into to light the tach?
Hey thanks for the reply. It would make sense about that headlight switch b/c the actualy assembly kind of fell apart there where you pull the knob out to turn on the headlights. It just kind of wiggles all around in there....whatever was holding in place broke...or came off.
As far as the tack goes....it's wired into the radio illumination wiring.
I don't think it's the brake switch.
I'm kinda lost on how to track this down though.
I can't help you because I don't have a wiring diagram. Try replacing the headlight switch first and see if that cures it.
