Hi guys! I need to find out how to find the alinement point for the cam pullie without the cam belt cover on it?? Is It from the cam center line to the aux shaft center line?? Howard
2.0 or 2.3 if u look at the cam sprocket one of the holes go all the way though and has a arrow put the hole at the top with the pointer pointing down and the the dist rotor on #! plug and the crank has #'s one it the block has a little pointer on it on the left side top of the pulley line that up with the 0
The motor is a 2.3L. There isn't any holes in the cam sprocket, the marker is an arrow shape on the outside edge of the sprocket. There isn't any holes in the cam sprocket belt guide washer as well. Howard
ii think it goose top dead center. there is a dot on the valve cover i think
Hi guys! Well i called Esslinger today and talked to Gary and got the info i was looking for! As for the crank timing marker without the timing belt cover on? Line the timing marker up with the center of the crank to the center of the aux shift for TDC. As for the cam gear? Easy! With the cam cover off, turn the cam to where the #1 cam lobs are both pointed upward and level them. Now your cam is on TDC no mather where the cam pullie marker is pointed! Mark the front of the head with a pouch in line with the marker and it's easy to find again even with the cam cover on!!!!!! Later, Howard
