Title: Cheesy rear seat back- am I missing something?
Post by: Reed on August 29, 2008, 12:11:31 AM
I am working on my 71 sedan and I noticed that the rear seatback is nothing buck masonite with the upholstery glued and stapled to it.     Am I missing something that goes behind the rear seat back for structural support or did Ford actually think that the masonite would provide enough strength?   As it is, I am going to weld some wire mesh over the hole so peoilpe can actually sit in the back seat.   :o

It is a 71 sedan.  No latch at the top passenger side, but I would love to convert this to a fold down rear seat.  However, I would be happy if the rear seat was useable.
