Hey all, I'm a newcomer with a question: Is there any particular annual event that is the biggest, best-known Pinto show? If anyone knows where and when the next one is I'd love to know! Thanks!

Nice to hear of your enthusiasm for the Pinto. My experience has unfortunately been.....they don't have 'Pinto' car shows. As much as the 1000 members of this site love our Pinto's and are very proud of them, somehow the car show circuit doesn't promote us. The concentration of Pinto's also prohibits getting too many of them together in one show, except maybe for southern California.
I have shown mine in Tulsa's largest show, with 1200 cars on display, and I was the only Pinto. I have fun at all-Ford events, but then again, the only Pinto. But I love it! Everyone has a Pinto story and I love to share mine. I wear myself out talking at shows.

youll probly get a good chance of having more than one pinto at a show at the all fords shows.. but other car shows there is usually only one.. but coming soon in mid calli we are gonna have 3-4 pintos who go each show.. we are gonna start a club for the bay area too.. so we can show off our ponys.. so far there is only 3 pintos for the shows but mine is coming along fast.. mine is gonna be a show car definatly..! i think im going to do something that has never been done to a pinto.. no details yet.. ill show ou and tell you when im done lol so i dont have any copycats only followers lol if we grow to the 2000 mark on this site we should assemble a mid point in the us that we can come to the show to... and have a cruise.. or something.. sweep the nation.. that would be kool
I went to the all Ford carlisle show this year.Including my 80 Rallye there were 6 Pinto's.I would like to see more at carlisle next year.MAybe with enough Pinto's we can have our own class and not be with mid sized cars.

I put an Isuzu 60 HP diesel engine in a Pinto 24 years ago. Made a tractor out of that puppy! Did 0-60 in 25 seconds. But got 40 MPG. Had a blast with it. Loved refueling it at truck stops, people would run up to me and say "Son, you can't put diesel fuel in that car, it's a Pinto!"

I like the Knotts Berry Farm, " Fabulous Fords Forever" show in So. California. Every April they have over 2,000 Fords there. It brings in about 10+ Pintos every year.

I have taken mine to several car shows in south and noth carolina. So far I have been the only pinto. I even won a throphy from one show.
Hey pinto4fun, watch out and you might see one more soon. I've been going to car shows for a while and I've only seen one Pinto and it was a wagon. Maybe one day we will end up at a show together.
I believe there were 12-13 at Knott's this year. Sounds like that's the winner so far.
Oh there sure were 12 pintos at Knott's this year. And next year there better be an assload of them. We have been growing in number every year. WooHoo! Oh and by the way that pic above is from last year's show when there were I think 8 pintos. See, growing every year.... ;D
