I saw this photo you posted.

Is that a stock Bobcat steering wheeel and horn button?
I'd love to throw away the ugly thing I've got now for a setup like that.

Ironman, that is the sport wheel option for these cars and many others.  Just make sure the wheel you get has provisions for the horn as the ones out of the Mustangs and Fairmonts do not and will need to be modified to work.

Man the more I look at that dashboard the more I like the whole setup. Its got the heater controls in the consol and it looks like 3 ?  guages in the dash where my heater controls are in my car. Man this is a cool setup.  What all had this layout, just Bobcats?  I think I've seen that console before in a station wagon, (The cobwebs could be playin tricks on me), but I've never seen the guages before. I think I need a dash like that!!

I just looked at the map thing and your not very far from me Doc. I'll email or message you with my number. Apintonut is the only member I was aware of in the area. Looking forward to meeting you!

Mick, that Bobcat had the factory tach option.  WIth that came the gauge trio where the standard heater controls go.  Thus the heater controls were moved to the console.  Also on factory AC cars, the heater controls are in the console as there are vents where the standard heater controls go.  All Cruising wagons came with the tach/gauge package as well as the sport wheel as a standard option.  The wiring harness is different on the factory tach cars so to do a correct swap a harness will need to be located.  Else I believe 77turbopinto documented the way to splice into an existing non-tach wiring harness.

Thanks Man!

Good information, I'm gettin pretty stoked about this whole project! I have to do some major rearanging around here so I can get this thing goin full bore.
I imagine those parts are hard to come by,.. but maybe I'll luck out,...as I work on my project I'll keep my eyes open.

I may seem sick to some of you,.. but I even like that pumpkin/with black accent interior look. I saw a wagon with the "pumpkin" interior that someone did just a little bit of black accent customizing,.. I thought it was beautiful.
