I`m installing a new dash and gauges in my 75 wagon and thought I would pass along the plugs pin layout for anyone who wants it.
The plug is numbered if you look real close 1 through 14
1. goes thru a little square box then to the fuel gauge.. 2 wires, 1 black, 1 black w/green stripe
2. Ground 2 wires, both black
3. Bright light indicator light 1 wire, green w/black stripe
4. Lift gate open indicator light 1 wire, black
5. Seat belt indicator light 1 wire, green
6. Engine indicator light 1 wire, red w/white stripe
7. Goes to the other side of the fuel gauge 1 wire, yellow w/white stripe
8. Right turn indicator light 1 wire, green w/red stripe
9. Left turn indicator light 1 wire, black
10. Dash lights pos. 2 wires, 1 green w/red dots, 1 purple w/white stripe
11. Dash lights neg. 1 wire, red
12. Brake indicator light 2 wires, 1 blue w/red stripe, 1 blue w/purple stripe
13. Alt. indicator light 1 wire, green w/white stripe
14 Alt. indicator light 1 wire, white w/blue stripe
I tried to wire in a autometer fuel gauge made for fords but I`m not sure if it works right.. Need to run it to get the level down.
I`m also unsure how to wire the alt. using the dash wires..I may just run a volt gauge and be done with it.
Hope this helps someone out there.

Great info. Keep in mind that there are at least 4 different pin-out arrangements depending on the year and options.

I haven`t cut the fuel gauge wires yet but I did try to wire in a fuel gauge(autometer)just to see if it was going to work...
All the thing did was go to max full and stayed there, even unhooked...
I may have fried it...Looks like I`m going to just get a fuel cell w/sender and be done with it. And a new gauge, I wonder if summit would swap it?
