I just changed the head light on my 71 sedan,.. when I took the fender extention off I noticed a few things that were kind of wierd.
It only has two screws and a clip holding it, instead of three like the 72 had,.. and its made of blue plastic that matched the original paint.
Is this normal?
Yes it's normal, one of several things unique to the 71. Headlight bezels for 71 are fiberglass with 2 screws. 72-76 are metal with 3 screws.
