Title: Hydraulic Clutch Linkage
Post by: Underdog76 on August 11, 2004, 03:22:03 PM
Does anyone know anything about or run with a hydraulic cluch linkage?
My dad keeps breaking his clutch cables. most of the time it pulls the ball right off of the end but it has also bent clevis's and pulled the whole thing through the firewall.
Obviously we need a perminate solution. Any Help would be greatly apperciatd
Thanks

I'm running a hydralic clutch but I'm also running the T-5 5speed with the '88 bell housing made specificly for the hydralic setup. Have you replaced the actual clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing after all those cables?

wow, you keeped the hydralic setup!  I started doing my swap with that and it begain to be a pain in the butt. I got a bell housing from an 80s Mustang and went with a cable clutch.
As for the breaking cables, there is something wrong with your clutch set-up. I would look into what is making them break before trying to switch everything over to hydralic.
