Post by: apintonut on August 14, 2008, 09:55:21 PM
i have been working on the pinto all week doing this or that to about 4 of them. the wether has been grate!! in my disassembling of 2, 73 and a 77 i have fond 3 build sheets all under the seats stuffed into the springs. the 2 73 under the passenger seat and the 77 under the drivers.   what cool documentation of the car's original condition (to bad it was wail i was  cutting them up!!!)

Those are the sheets they stick on the windows at the dealership right? I found one of those stuck in the springs of the passenger seat last weekend.

So do you plan to sell me any of the parts I wanted to get from Ironman???

Really,... now how would he do that? I think he would have to own the car before he could do anything to it.  Me thinks someone might be practicing the ancient art of Bullchito!!!

The car is sold!   but not to Brian,.. he didnt have any money, or any parts that I needed.
Unfortunately the sale was inside my family, so I'm stuck with storing the dang thing until I haul it my self, or start taking parts off of it,.... that'll usualy get people motivated.

Very very cool. Anyone care to scan in and post a pic of their build sheet they found wedged in the springs under their seat? :)

I had found mine the first time I removed my seats, but it was so faded and shredded that it was unrecognizable and looked like a used napkin.

I called the Ford 1-800 number to get a History 999 report on my car and they told me that they couldn't pull anything up on the car so they would have to send it to their "research department" and that they would get a hold of me in the next two business days. I should be getting a call from them some time this week!
