Yes, I am a maintenance nut. I always like things in top condition and make them last. My goal is never to rebuild anything if I do the proper maintenance !!
That said, is there any way to regularly lube the rack or change the fluid without pulling it?
The oil sure would be old. The rack is perfect right now.
I read in my service manual that you can only add fluid during a rebuild or replacement by holding the rack at 90 degrees and adding 90W. Maybe I should turn the car on it's side :lol:
Adding grease through the boot with a needle does seem like it would be compatible with the oil.
