TOP 10 WORST DESIGNS:
In a poll of 2500 car enthusiasts, the AMC Pacer placed first as the "most questionable car design of all time." The survey, conducted by Hagerty Insurance among its policyholders, put the Yugo in second place, followed by Fords Pinto, Pontiac Aztek, Chevrolet Vega, AMC Gremlin, Chevrolet Covair, AMC Matador, Edsel, and Chevrolet Chevette........ Someone said that second place is the first loser, but I'm sure this wasn't the direction he / she was thinking about.
Don't you feal better knowing that your that close to the "top" ? ? ? ? ? ? ?.
I always wanted to be number one, now that I'm almost there, it the wrong side of number one. Damm !

"Worst design" ? In terms of WHAT? Because of one flaw that was so outrageouly purported that it's the only thing people remember? This stuff is so narrow minded. Pintos were not built to be luxurious and stylish, catering to the "creature comfort crowd". They were pedestrian and practical, and affordable.

About any car crazed 16 year old. Not to mention certain middle age crazed 40 year olds.
Those kinds of articles, and there are a few books on the subject too, are all somebody's opinion and usually they do not have any real old car background. I'll bet Haggerty Insurance is a little nervous as I am sure he is insuring plenty of those cars and the owners are very happy with them. I do not think that the Pinto will ever live down its' reputation as long as these fools keep perpetrating its flaw. Do we really care?

Speaking of PINKS,,,who has a reliable,hard charging Pinto (turbo or n/a) that could get out & go on PINKS All Out?
I'll stack my two Pintos up against anything in my area! I get more oohs and ahhs,and "I,..my uncle,..fill in the blank here,had one of these,over my rides than alot of the "high" end vehicles in our car shows! YA GOTTA LOVE IT! :lol:

I watched an episode of "Pinks all out" last week where there was a gathering in Georgia (sorry, don't remember the speedway), and during the qualifiers, they showed the rear end of a Pinto at the line taking off (it never made the final brackets). It would be GREAT to see a Pinto out there kicking it....

The pinks all out show was at alanta and they did a side shot at the line up highlighting the emblem it was a red. car.
